Vietnam :)

Heyyyyyyyy ! (:
Sorry for not updating on Vietnam ever since I came back.
Took damn long to resize & upload the photos /:
But nvm, it's all over ! Here's the long-awaited entry !
Warning: DAMN LONG POST
I'm damn sorry, the photos appear to be too big huh ? Well...... I'm lazy to re-size already, make do with it ! I promise I'll further re-size it the next time :D

So, I went Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh on the 16th March.
Special thanks to Celine, Cindy & Bo for the surprise sent-off @ BT :D
Oh I took the Tiger Airlines to Vietnam btw.
There were no other vacancies in other airlines so Daddy decided to try Tiger.
So we got on the plane & off we went to Ho Chi Minh ! :)

Photobucket

& yeah, the plane ride was okay but the plane's abit too small eh. I was 6 seats behind the front part of the plane. From my seat, I could see the pilot ! Hahaha. Damn cool right. & the toilet is just outside the pilot's cabin. Tsk tsk.

Photobucket

Arrived at Vietnam & cabbed to our hotel. Well, the hotel that we booked has no more vacancies ! Like wth ? But they had another franchise just 5 mins walk away. So, they provided a car for us to the other hotel. Thank God their hotel has no vacancies because I like the final hotel better ! (: The room's & the bath tub's really huge ! & the buffet breakfast in the morning is only $3/5 USD ! Damn cheapppp.

Headed over to the famous tourist market next ! It was just 5-10 mins walk away from our hotel (:

Photobucket
Hahahaha spot my Daddy !

Photobucket
This is a dessert stall ! Sells damn nice "Chendol" but too bad, I don't eat. Haha. Whenever my parents wants to eat this, I'll order watermelon/mango juice. Damn nice ! No preservatives added. Pure watermelon/mango (: & when there's not enough seats, people will sit like that:

Photobucket

Photobucket
They had many these kind of stalls, selling dried foods/fruits & sweets. The whole market has stalls selling things like: coffee powder, shirts, cooked food, desserts, fresh vegetables, fresh seafood, nail polish, cloths & a lot ! Here's a few photos of the fresh seafood,

& in the middle of the market there's a.............. Manicure shop ! :D There were a lot of ladies inside the shop. They're quite professional :) They had special equipments & it was damn cheap ! $6 SGD for manicure + pedicure ! Hahah.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Spot my mum ! Hahaha.

Photobucket
My dad's hand. Hahaha. He's the only guy in the whole shop, damn funny. But he wanted to remove the dead skins so yeah (:

Photobucket
All of them had a box like this each.

Photobucket
Uncover the cloth & there's all these ! Their nail clippers blahblah.

Photobucket
& their whole lot of nail polishes which you can choose from (:

Photobucket
Choose to do both manicure & pedicure, there will be 2 ladies serving you. Like Queen like that (:

Okay, after exploring the market a bit, we decided to go for a massage ! There's this place where my Dad's friend recommend. So I did full body (Minus leg) massage. Wahlao at first it was damn shiok, but after awhile, it's damn painful ! By the time when I bathe at night, I can see bruise marks on my arms ! Really damn pain /:

Anyway, we randomly walked pass this restaurant & went in for dinner. Ambience was good & the place was nicely renovated (:

Photobucket

So we had a few dishes (Don't worry, I'm not going to make you salivate over my whole post, I only took pictures of 2 meals out of all that I had in Vietnam),

The food was pretty much awesome (: After dinner, we cabbed back to the market area. At night, there will be a night market a.k.a Pasar Malam just outside the market. Sell a lot of.. fake Adidas/Puma/Nike/Polo/etc shirts.

Photobucket

Photobucket
That's my mum & I (:

That's the end of the 1st night (: Television in our room had 40 over channels ! Very cool right. Okay.. the next morning, we went for a tour (: It was to the Mekong river. We had to take a 2 hours bus-ride over to another city in Vietnam to take the boat ride.

Photobucket

I think the Sand "mountain" near TP is made up of the sand in Vietnam ! They export a lot of sand to other countries.

Photobucket
Very pretty weather (: Oh ! Talking about weather, Vietnam's really hot knowwww. Like DAMN HOT. Can sun-tan everywhere you go !

HAHA. Damn sweet (:

Photobucket
After being on the boat for like.. 30 mins ? We finally reached one of our many destinations (: This is the place where they provided fresh fruits (Watermelon, pineapple, longan & etc) for us with local/traditional live music.

Photobucket

So after these, we proceeded for a horse carriage ride. Wahlao I felt damn guilty although I'm contributing the least weight on that carriage, haha. But seriously, I felt damn bad. If the distance was quite near, I would rather walk. The horse like damn poor thing /:

Photobucket

Photobucket
They had their eyes covered. I think it was to not let things on their sides scare them or sth, right ?

Photobucket

After the ride, we went over to a Bee farm. We had honey with tea. Tasted quite good :) & there was this.. Snake there. I think it's a python ? Judging on its size that is. My Dad was brave enough to take a photo with it. He kept on asking me to do the same but hell no ! I was damn scared laaaaa.

Photobucket

Photobucket

So after the Bee farm, we went over to some.. Sampan place. 3 or 4 in a boat & there's this person that will row you to your actual boat when you set off.

Photobucket

Photobucket
She's the person that was rowing us, tgt with another guy :)

Photobucket
Told you my Dad's a ultimate camwhore, hahha.

Saw this chicken while we were having lunch at some village. My Mum said that it has no more feathers because it lost in a fight. After lunch, the last stop is the place where they made Coconut products (: I bought sweetsssss.

Photobucket

Okay end of 1 day tour, we took the boat back to the jetty & took the tour bus back to Ho Chi Minh city (: Had dinner at some food stores at the night market & walked around. Oh ! My hotel had free Internet service ! How coolllll. So I went online ! Hahaha. Okay end of day 2 (:

Day 3 was nothing much, just walking around the market. But seriously, there was nothing much to buy /: Damn irritating, it wasn't like Bangkok or KL where there were loadssss to shop. So anyway, we had late lunch.

Photobucket
Sliced chicken noodles (:

Photobucket
Beef balls noodles (:

Oh, do your know what's the most common transportation in Vietnam ? They say if guys don't have one of these, they wouldn't get a gf ! Haha. They say the bigger the one you own, the better your gf will be !

Photobucket
Yes ! It's motorcyle ! Haha.

Photobucket
They are like everywhereeeeee.

Okay last day we didn't really do anything. Just walked around & yadayada. Here are some random photos that my Dad took,

Alrighttttttt, I'm finally done with this post ! Overall, Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh was alright. It was too hot & quite tiring having to walk around. But still, good experience ! :)
